I'm brainstorming, creating scenarios for my project, and am trying to come up with an example of using a mobile laptop cart in a math classroom. As a middle school teacher, I'm also imagining the setting is also in the middle school classroom as well. What if......students had to present.....the steps of using FOIL in algebra....using a laptop? I did some research and think I may have figured out something that could work.
1) Students use PowerPoint to create the presentation, breaking down the steps onto individual slides.
2) Exporting the presentation as a video
But then what? So the students have a little video, what next? They could upload it to the LMS, but come on, this is a presentation! How can the students see each others presentations and provide feedback, in a manner that is easy to manage for the teacher? I wanted a place where students could easily upload their work. Maybe the cloud? Cloud services require a login, so that's out of the question. I did some searches on the web and came across Padlet. I've been seeing padlet mentioned on the twitterverse lately, but never checked it out until today. I'm glad I did, because it provides exactly what I need. An easy way for students to upload their work and check out each others. It also has an embedding function to, making it all the more cool. Below is just a test of what I've done so far in say....15 minutes. Nice :-)
